Opportunities

Design Analyst

Design Analysts are integral to the engineering design process. They provide support to our design engineers to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner, with due diligence completed at every phase of their assigned tasks. These tasks include providing support for assigned projects as well as relevant evaluations, enhancement recommendations, quality assurance, and documentation review.

How you will contribute:

The Design Analyst will be expected to:

Create technical documentation.
Identify problem areas, propose design modifications or improvements, and support the approval of designs using the Engineering Change Control process.
Validate and prove selected design by planning, coordinating, or conducting tests.
Generate analysis reports, design plans, design requirements, and other reports.
Develop in-depth nuclear plant systems knowledge and acquire deeper technical skills.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
Attend and lead job progress meetings.
Other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2 years of relevant experience.
Ability to diagnose problems with equipment.
Ability to clearly communicate with clients.
Ability to create concise reports.

Project Engineer

The Project Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and oversight during planning, development, execution, and commissioning of plant modifications. The incumbent must be knowledgeable about the technical requirements and applicable regulatory codes and standards for the project. The incumbent must have a strong ability to work and collaborate with various work groups to see and support assigned projects from definition to execution. It is expected that the project engineer has a strong understanding of Nuclear power plant operations, including a working knowledge of the operations and maintenance components of the plant.

How you will contribute:

The Project Engineer will be expected to:

Manage projects for safety, quality, productivity, asset reliability, process improvement, cost reduction, and other business objective improvements.
Provide instruction in operation, set-up, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and ensure work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures.
Support the planning, prioritizing, and reviewing applicable plans for engineering, maintenance, and other work groups of the production and facility equipment, including the preparation of project plans, schedules, budgets, and proposals.
Establish schedules and methods for providing services; identify resource needs; review needs, allocate resources accordingly, and effectively communicate action plans/repairs.
Participate in the development of control policies and procedures and make recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards and procedures.
Analyze and interpret all project-related documents (electrical, mechanical, civil, etc.) to accurately quantify all controls and instrumentation scope items as necessary.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize projects in accordance with deadline requirements.

What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2 years of relevant experience.
Strong understanding of codes and standards.
Experience with Engineering and Project Change Control Systems and methods.
Strong communication skills.
Requires strong technical writing skills for preparing specifications, work instructions, and planning documents.
Must have a demonstrated ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
Must be able to propose recommendations and resolutions to technical issues both verbally and in writing.
Ability to interface effectively with Plant Operations, Plant Engineering, Maintenance, other technical staff, Regulators, and other stakeholders.
Ability to interact positively with others by developing trust, mutual respect, and cooperative working relationships.
Must be registered or eligible to obtain Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada.
